Introduction from Ray Herring, Chairman of the Suffolk Coastal Local Strategic Partnership Board
The Suffolk Coastal Local Strategic Partnership has agreed a vision for the future of our district where 'building on the best of the present, it should be a district where people want to live and to invest, to care for others and the environment'. There are great foundations in place in our district as can be seen by the fact that 92 per cent of our residents say they are satisfied with Suffolk Coastal as a place to live, making it one of the top rated places to live in the country.
However, we cannot be complacent if we are to maintain and enhance the quality of life in our district and the members of the Partnership recognise there are significant issues that need to be addressed. We are committed to working together to provide real improvements to the social, economic and environmental well-being of all our residents.
Within this website you can find out about the key issues we believe face the district, and how the Partnership is working to tackle them as set out in our Sustainable Community Strategy. Through the activities of our working groups, we are tackling the following priority issues:
- Access to services
- Strong, supportive communities
- Climate change & the environment
- Economy, skills and enterprise
- Healthier lives for all
- Young People
This website puts the spotlight on the action and successes of our partnership.
